Well, nice to be home again. We had a road trip Friday and Saturday. Friday my old bear wanted to visit the rehab hospital and show off his terrific walking skills. He continues to walk better every day and stand up straighter -- he can walk farther and stand longer, though still not up to his pre-virus strength. But he hasn't stopped improving either -- the other day I discovered he could wiggle his toes on his weak foot. Not much, but any movement is a big deal.

Then after the hospital visit, we went to a hotel with a pool so we could all play and pretend it wasn't winter. It was actually pretty nifty since the room where the pool was had lots of glass and you could look out at the blowing snow while swimming in the warm pool.

The weather's been wicked cold and I had trouble getting warm for much of the Friday trip, so a warm pool was nice.

Then Saturday we met with the wild child's group for a Destination Imagination event. That's a creative problem-solving competitive group. Yesterday was just practice but I could see how much the group has improved. We still need to work some on team dynamics vs. I only want to do what I want to do -- but they're definitely getting better. Just a few stragglers now and I think we'll get the team spirit by the March competition.

Now, home again. I'm always glad to be home. I've got something unpleasant going with my eye. I'm trying to figure out if it's pink eye or something else and will probably have to have the doctor look at it. It swells, especially underneath the eye. My vision is a little blurred. It weeps but not the kind of thick ick of pink eye (sorry for the grossness of that). And it was really sore but less so now...so maybe it's getting better on it's own. That would be nice...I don't like doctors. On that cheery note, I need to bop off and work on laundry.
